Alright. Here’s my review.

IT WAS AN EXELLENT MOVIE, the greatest i’ve seen this year. I don’t know whether HYDF would be better than this, i haven’t watched it but this is definitely the best. It was scary to the max, now i know how scary battles and wars are. There were scenes where people got shot suddenly and people suiciding because they think they’re going to lose by holding granite bombs to themselves after pulling out the trigger. (Is it called a trigger or a string?) And you see bloody corpses everywhere. The movie actually tell us about the Battle of Iwo Jima between the U.S and Japan from the perspective of Japanese soldiers. I was feeling so emotional during the show because by going to war at that time, means there’s no gurantee you’re coming back alive. I mean going to any war would definitely have that possibility right? But it was sad, cos the Japanese soldiers missed home and they knew that there was no way they could make it home alive. I jumped from my seat a couple of times cos i got frightened when the people got shot without knowing it. As in like, there was a scene where an American soldier just fired at a Japanese soldier out of the blue. The BANG! was frightening.

I don’t know but i think this is considered a spoiler.

Saigo [Ninomiya Kazunari a.k.a the cute boy]-He acted as one of the soldiers, who was a baker and had a wife and a baby girl back in Ohmiya, his hometown (as in a place, not OHMIYA SK *screams in crazy high pitched voice* ) I was quite amazed at Saigo who didn’t get shot at all and at his amazing lucky luck. He managed to survive but the ending didn’t really tell us whether he died in the end or not or whether he managed to go back home. Ok, now about Nino, he is such a goooooooooooooood actor, oh my goodness. There were lots of scenes where he cried, it made me cry too. He really did cry. I mean who wouldn’t cry when you see him cry so sadly and so professionally. But i guess he’s way too cute to act as a soldier (not trying to say it’s no good). But all in all, i feel so proud of our Nino! I’m happy i’m asian..
